A Record Breaking Artist

Paloma released her debut album – Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? – in September 2009. The first two singles from the album, Stone Cold Sober and New York, both peaked within the Top 20 in the UK.

Since its release, the album has spent 106 weeks on the UK Albums Chart and peaked at number 9. In March 2013 the album was certified as 2× Platinum with sales exceeding 600,000 copies!

In 2012, Paloma released her second studio album – Fall to Grace – which debuted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart. Not only was Fall to Grace the fourth best-selling album of the year, it also gave Paloma her second 2x Platinum selling album!

A Perfect Contradiction, her most successful album to date, also received a 2x Platinum certification and spawned two top-ten singles — Can’t Rely on You and Only Love Can Hurt Like This.

The album spent 29 weeks in the Top 10 Albums Chart and 66 weeks in the Top 40!

The Architect debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, becoming her first UK chart-topping album.

The new album is currently on course to become her fourth 2x platinum album in a row – which would make her the first British woman in chart history to achieve this incredible feat!

A Star of TV and Film

As well as being a singer, Paloma is also an actress. She appeared on an episode of BBC drama HolbyBlue, was cast as Andrea in St Trinian’s (2007) and played the girlfriend of the devil in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009).

More recently, Paloma was a judge on The Voice UK for one season but did not return for a second second due to her pregnancy (more on that later!) Check out her incredible vocals while singing with the other judges during a live show here!

An Award Winner

Paloma won Best British Female Solo Artist at the BRIT Awards in 2015, and has been nominated for the category an additional three times! Watch her amazing performance during the 2015 BRIT Awards below!

2014 was Paloma’s most decorated year for awards, after winning: UK Music Video Awards for Only Love Can Hurt Like This, Pro Sound Awards for A Perfect Contradiction, O2 Silver Clef Award, Attitude Award and Glamour Award!

Well known for her eccentric style, Paloma Faith is not one to shy away when it comes to fashion. From sensational headwear to every hair colour of the rainbow, Paloma always makes a statement with her look.

Charitable & Family Focused

Paloma Faith has featured on two charity hits. She was one of many to appear on the Christmas charity single Do They Know It’s Christmas by Band Aid 30. Can you spot her in the music video?

She was also one of the many artists to appear on the charity single Bridge Over Troubled Water in aid of the Grenfell Tower fire.

In just a day the single earned over £200,000 through Artists For Grenfell, shifting 120,000 in combined sales. That feat goes on record as being the biggest opening day of any single in the last decade!

Back in December 2016, Paloma gave birth to her first child and we applaud her for choosing to keep the name and gender to herself and out of the lime light. She told You Magazine that she wanted privacy for her child, who’ll be growing up with a famous mum.

More recently, Paloma has urged the public to be kinder and more tolerant towards others. Saying that “since having my first child I have been thinking about qualities I want to teach them. How can I lead by example and add something to this new generation that is growing up in the world? My answer: empathy, kindness and compassion.”

A Positive Role Model

From the very start of her career, Paloma Faith made sure that she stood out and stood up for herself.

During her time at college she fronted a band called ‘Paloma and the Penetrators’. During a performance, she was scouted by Epic Records, who invited her to sing for the manager of the label. Twenty minutes into the audition, she asked the manager to turn his phone off and when he refused, she walked out. ????

In 2007, she met her managers Jamie Binns and Christian Wåhlberg of Lateral Management.

Although she had been looking for a manager, she was still wary about entering into a formal agreement with Binns and Wåhlberg. Instead, preferring to build their relationship before any contracts were signed. The managers spent a year helping, guiding and advising her before she officially signed to Lateral Management.
