Olly Murs has just won the #10YearChallenge!

On Saturday night, Olly Murs recreated his X Factor audition to the delight of The Voice audience and his fellow coaches!

10 years ago Olly Murs graced our screens for the very first time when he auditioned for The X Factor!

Now one of the four The Voice UK coaches, Olly Murs took the opportunity to remind everyone how he got started in the industry and treat viewers to his own version of the #10YearChallenge!

During the show on Saturday night, Olly chatted to his fellow coaches about song choices. Olly commented on the importance of his X Factor audition song and how ‘Superstitious’ still means so much to him.

“Song choice is so important,” he said. “Like when I got a yes on X Factor, I sang ‘Superstitious’ – for me, that song changed my life.”

Fellow coach Jennifer Hudson then suggested that Olly sing the song for the other coaches. To the delight of the cheering studio audience, Olly performed the song and accidentally created an excellent entry to the #10YearChallenge.

Have a watch of Olly Murs’ first X Factor audition!

Back in 2009, Olly walked out onto The X Factor auditions stage for the first time to sing the Stevie Wonder song that helped launch his career during the show’s sixth series.

Although Olly was the runner up, he’s proved that he didn’t need to win to be successful in this industry. With four UK Number 1 albums, 18 Top 40 singles and six BRIT Award nominations, the Dance with Me Tonight singer isn’t showing any signs of slowing down!
