Newmarket danced the night away thanks to The Magic of Motown!

On Friday night Newmarket Racecourses headed back to the Golden Era for a fantastic evening with The Magic of Motown!

The day kicked off with six exciting horse races – with plenty of cheers from the crowd, the racecourse already had a fantastic atmosphere! With some winners and some losers on the horses, everyone was excited ahead of the headline performance from The Magic of Motown.

The perfect way to spend a summer day!

What better way to spend a summer evening? With so much to do and see at the July Course, guests arrived early ahead of the first race!

With so many different places to enjoy the evening racing, the Newmarket crowds were spoilt for choice! From the Moet & Chandon area, to Pimms and cocktails – as well plenty of food stalls –  guests were enjoying the evening across the racecourse.

In the Garden Enclosure (the most popular of the night!), Motown fans were tucking into home made picnics and enjoying the evening sunshine.

The Magic of Motown had as dancing around the racecourse… all night long!

Soon after the final race, The Magic of Motown took to the stage and dived straight into Ain’t No Mountain High Enough that quickly had the crowds dancing.

The spectacular show was filled with dazzling costume changes, fantastic dance moves and incredible vocals. The Motown fans were delighted to hear all their favourite songs from the Golden Era. It’s hard to choose the highlights of the evening, with so many wonderful performances! However, some of the best songs performed on the evening included: I’m Coming Out, Dancing On The Ceiling, Loco in Acapulco, All Night Long and I Want U Back.
