James Blunt returned for a fantastic headline show!

Newmarket Nights favourite James Blunt returned to the course for an epic headline performance!

Having first performed at Newmarket to a sold out crowd back in 2014, we definitely had high expectations from the You’re Beautiful singer. (Especially as James Blunt crowd surfed during his performance!)

Another sizzling summer day ☀

With highs of 27 degrees, the racecourse crowd were enjoying a drink in the sunshine while cheering on the horses.

In true British style, guests were soaking up the sun, drinking Pimms and placing bets. With seven nail biting races to watch there was plenty of winners (and a couple losers) on the day!

An incredible set from James Blunt!

The perfect way to end a gorgeous summer day at Newmarket’s Adnams July Course!

James Blunt began his set with Heart to Heart and I’ll Take Everything, before moving on to a crowd favourite and Top 40 single Wisemen.

His outstanding vocals and musicianship were out on show for the Newmarket crowd, as he sang Goodbye My Lover, High and Postcards.

Crowd

With the sun setting and casting a gorgeous glow over the racecourse, the highlight of the night was hearing the whole crowd sing a long to James Blunt’s platinum selling, Number 1 single You’re Beautiful! (And the crowd definitely looked beautiful singing the chorus back to him!)

The British singer and former army officer, returned to the stage for a feel good, upbeat encore that included some crowd favourites: Stay The Night, 1973 and Bonfire Heart.

Once again, James Blunt wowed the Newmarket Nights crowd and we would welcome him back any time!
