George Ezra scores fastest-selling album of 2018!
Huge congratulations to Sandown Park and Newmarket Racecourses headliner George Ezra!
George Ezra’s second album has gone straight to Number 1 in the UK Albums Chart! It has sold sold over 63,000 copies this week! It’s the highest opening week figure for an album so far this year!
If that wasn’t enough of an amazing feat, Staying at Tamara’s has knocked The Greatest Showman off the top spot after an 11 week stint at Number 1!
The greatly anticipated second album was released on Friday 23rd March. it includes Top 40 singles: Shotgun and Paradise.
George said: “It’s incredible to think that the album is now out and in people’s cars, homes and soundtracking people’s lives. For it to have made it to number one is so amazing! I still can’t quite get my head around it.”
Staying At Tamara’s gives George Ezra his second Number 1 album. Following on from his debut album Wanted On Voyage (2014), which spent four weeks in the top spot. (And his first album has made its way back into the charts this week at Number 15!)
